Food Service Manager 1 needed in North Bergen, NJ. Role Focuses on Patient Services and Operations


Sodexo is looking for an energized individual who is looking to enter the contract food service industry.  The successful candidate will like working with others and have a passion for service. As the Food Service Manager 1 you will manage 15 union employees, oversee the Patient Service process,  complete routine patient rounding and surveying as well as tray line and food quality audits.  Will also lead our service recovery response, when complaints are received. This employee would be the closing manager 11:30-8PM. Healthcare experience is needed.

The successful candidate will also be involved in the management and training of staff and food quality.  Must have strong customer service skills.

Position Summary

Assists in the management of multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. May supervise less than two full time employees.



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
