Unit Description

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Service Manager 1 for 230 resident nursing and rehabilitation facility, Colonial Manor, located in York, Pennsylvania. The Food Service Manager will report to the General Manager and manage a staff of approximately 20 hourly employees.  Shift will vary, opening and closing (8:00pm), with every other weekend and some holidays.

Are you the experienced food service manager we’re seeking?

 

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • support the food service operations for front and back of house;
  • will be hands on with basic cooking skills;
  • deliver high quality food service;
  • assist in Human Resource functions (hiring, training of staff, payroll);
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • create a positive environment; and
  • ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

The ideal candidate:

  • has previous food service management experience ideally in a healthcare environment and / or restaurant experience;
  • is knowledgeable in safety and sanitation compliance;
  • has a work history demonstrating strong leadership and hospitality skills;
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed;
  • is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Position Summary

Assists in the management of multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. May supervise less than two full time employees.

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
