Sodexo is looking for a Food Service Manager 2 in Syracuse, NY at Crouse Hospital

 

 

Crouse Hospital is a private, not-for-profit hospital, is licensed for 506 acute-care beds and 57 bassinets. They serve more than 22,000 discharges, over 82,000 emergency services visits and more than 365,000 outpatient visits each year from a 15-county area in Central and Northern New York.

 

In this position you will  supervise the hospital food service employees in  the retail setting as well as the in room dining services that provide an AYR(At Your Request) tray line setting serving 1500 customers and approximately 600 patient meals a day.   

 

This position mainly manages 3-4 days a week at our satellite facility which is a 40 bed drug rehab located about 10 miles from the main hospital.  This rehab facility serves breakfast lunch and dinner 7 days a week 365 days a year in a self serve dining room setting.  The other days this position fills in at the main hospital covering shifts for other managers and working every third weekend in a rotation with the rest of the management team.  Shifts at the Rehab are from 930am-6pm and shifts at the hospital are either 6am-230pm or 1130am-8pm.

Position Summary

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.  Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Duties
- Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
- Establishes and maintains a safe work environment
- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
- Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
- Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement
 

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent     

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
