The Food Service Manager will provide operational leadership at Fairview's University and Riverside Campus for the coffee shops. This position works closely with the Leadership of Fairview and Sodexo to create the strategic plans for the coffee shops that align with Fairview's Mission,Vision and Values. This leader will work closely with the team and the leaders at Fairview to set the expectations for each manager and employee that allows us to achieve at a high level. This leader will work in partnership with the GM's across the South and Central regions to maintain the financials and KRI's that are important to our business. This manager will oversee the day to day operations of the coffee shops, and work closely with the retail teams to insure we have best in class service.


The best qualified candidate is professional with a collaborative mindset, commitment to operational excellence standards, a willingness to coach and develop staff, openness to change and attentive with a responsive communication style that will encourage success in this position.  Technical skills will include high levels of proficiency with data analysis, Microsoft Office, menu planning & forecasting processes, financials and understanding of safe food handling practices, qualities, and standards (e.g. HACCP forms, temperature logs, safety audits, inventory management, etc.)  Additionally, the manager will appreciate the importance of partnering with hospital leaders and employees in other departments to exceed expectations of patients and guests.

Position Summary

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.  Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Duties
- Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
- Establishes and maintains a safe work environment
- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
- Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
- Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement 



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
