    Sodexo is seeking an experienced Food Services Manager-Resident Dining for our long-tenured account at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR . Jonesboro is located in northeast Arkansas and is the fastest growing area in the state of Arkansas. This town of 75,000 people offers everything the big cities do but without all the traffic and high cost of living (Memphis is 1 hour, St. Louis 4 hours, and Little Rock 2 hours and you are only 6 hours from New Orleans!).

     

    The Food Services Manager- Resident Dining will have oversight of 80 front line employees and 3 supervisors at an account that averages 22,000 meals per week. The ideal candidate must have a strong high-volume background and a student first mentality as you are the face of resident dining. You must also be a Forward thinker and not afraid to take chances and someone who will always put the team first to win the heart of this management team.  

     

    The best qualified candidate will have the following:

    • College/University High Volume Resident Dining Management Experience,
    • Experience training and leading a resident dining staff,
    • Experience with food and labor systems,
    • P&L management experience,
    • Experience managing managers,
    • Excellent computer skills,
    • Excellent client and customer service skills.

    Position Summary

    Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.  Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.
    Key Duties
    - Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
    - Establishes and maintains a safe work environment
    - Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
    - Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
    - Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement 
     

     

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 2 years
    Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
