The Food Service Worker will be responsible for the preparation and serving of patient, staff, and visitor meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines and is responsible for the cleanliness of work area according to dietary procedures. The Food Service Worker will be cross-trained in all areas of dietary services including meal preparation, dishwashing, serving meals to all customers, catering, reconciling stock, and should have a basic understanding of nutritional principles and be able to understand and communicate applicable standards and regulations (e.g. JCAHO, CMS). 

Job Requirements

Education/Training: High School diploma or GED strongly preferred.

Experience: Previous experience working in a food service industry, preferably in a hospital or other institutional setting preferred.  In the absence of the above qualifications/experience, candidates must demonstrate the ability to learn necessary skills through the facility orientation program.

** Hours for this position will rotate between 6am-2:30pm, and 11am-7:30pm with rotating weekends.
