Position Summary:

Fremont Hospital is a fully accredited, 148-bed acute psychiatric hospital, providing quality care and assistance for children, adolescents, and adults. Our full spectrum of care includes 24-hour, no-cost assessments, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial-hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, and a chemical dependency intensive outpatient program. For over 20 years, Fremont Hospital has been a leader in the field of mental health and chemical dependency care. Inpatient specialty areas include: latency age program (6-11 years of age); adolescents program (12-17 years of age); specialty care unit; Adolescent Eating Disorder program; Dual Diagnosis unit; and Trauma Unit.

We are currently seeking a per-diem (part-time) Food Service Worker (Dietary Aide).

The Food Service Worker/Diet Aide is responsible for the following:
- assisting with preparing the salad bar
- maintaining an adequate supply of beverages
- ensuring the cafeteria and dining room remains clean at all times
- assisting in the preparation and delivery of patient meals
- operating the dish washing machine
- assisting the cook as required
- stocking kitchen necessities on each floor as required


Job Requirements

Education/Experience: must have prior experience in food service and have a basic knowledge of food service sanitation.

Additional Requirements: • You may be required to work overtime and flexible hours • Ability to work as a team player • Skill in organizing, prioritizing and delegating workloads to meet deadlines • Ability to communicate effectively with peers • Ability to demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience, ownership and dedication • Ability to accept direction and adhere to policies and procedures.
