Job Description

::

Supervision of patient scheduling, registration, financial counseling, medical records, billing and collection, data entry and processing, and cash posting

Promoting excellent customer service

Develop, implement and maintain office policies and procedures

Interview, hire and train a productive medical office team and conductperformance reviews

Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include: sending/receiving patient medical records; obtaining lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc; completing forms/requisitions as needed; scheduling appointments/procedures; follows ups with patients for lab results and/or medication changes, verifying insurance coverage and patient demographics; managing charts to ensure information is completed and accurate.

Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned which may include: keeping appropriate records, ordering, sorting, storing supplies; restocking exam/procedure rooms.

Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned which may include; respecting/promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergency codes; sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with immediate supervisors quickly.

Fill out forms, HH orders, Insurance forms for doctors as needed.

Greets and registers patients in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner.Provides necessary instructions/directions.Informs appropriate department/person of patient’s arrival.

Maintains and updates current information on physician’s schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly and appointments are confirmed.

Answers telephone, screen calls, takes messages, and provides information.

Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned which may include; respecting/promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergency codes; sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with immediate supervisors quickly.

Acts as receptionist as necessary

Travels between facilities as requested

Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

::

Minimum of 3 is required.

Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.

Job requires being sensitive to others' needs and feelings and being understanding and helpful on the job.

Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, and other office procedures and terminology.

Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Two to three years in a supervisory or management position required.
