The Funds Control Specialist is a financially focused individual who manages risk and safeguards ADP assets through the use of systems, controls, reports, and procedures. The position is responsible for the timely and accurate funding of all assigned impounds, adjustments, and disbursements that are processed through AVS.

The Funds Specialist will manage and control the resolution of transactions and activities in the Funds Control Management department. The position requires a high level of accuracy to minimize financial exposure to ADP and requires strong banking knowledge, research and reconciliation experience, and client service skills. On a daily basis, the Funds Specialist will interact with internal and external partners, banks, and clients. The position will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. The Funds Specialist will be required to work with internal and external partners, perform risk analysis, and facilitate or present information at meetings when necessary.

Skill Set:

  • Ability to assess financial risk and exposure for all products by using various systems resources and technical knowledge.
  • Act as liaison between ADP, regions, banks, and clients through strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prepare written correspondence and spreadsheets.
  • Possess effective problem solving analysis and resolution skills.
  • Appropriately escalate issues to ensure timeframes and deliverables are met.
  • Prioritize critical issues and have the ability to identify and analyze potential system problems that may impact service quality and financial risk.
  • Facilitate action plans with inter-department and region associates in a positive and supportive manner to resolve issues.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure of time constraints.
  • Ability to make sound and accurate decisions to ensure transactions are executed without impairing client service or causing financial exposure to clients or ADP.
  • Provide training and technical support as needed.
  • Maintain an effective and cohesive working relationship with peers and management.
  • Retain current knowledge of all products and risk policies.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.



QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Experience: Client Service, banking, risk management, or financial transaction processing.
  • Education: College level or higher with a concentration in Business, Finance, or Accounting. BA preferred but not required.
  • Excel, Outlook, Reconciliation

Experience Level: 2 to 5 years related experience


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience
  • Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints using pre-defined solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply basic concepts in new situations
  • Organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and follow up in a timely manner
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment as well as work independently and make sound decisions
