Job Details

The GBI AfME Solution Delivery Lead has responsibility for:

+ the delivery of Business Intelligence solutions for Pfizer's Africa & the Middle East (AfME) region.

+ the engagement with both business & BT stakeholders in the region, as well as with the GBI regional and global GBI colleagues for the region's Business Intelligence portfolio.

The position involves working closely with the business and BT business partners, as well as partnering across other departments within the larger GBI CoE and Business Technology organisations for priority setting, project delivery, and support issues and to deliver on business commitments.

The position will also be expected to be able to lead colleagues and vendors, where and when necessary to deliver high quality, extensible and scalable solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Manage and be responsible for the portfolio of Business Intelligence solutions in region, reporting to the GBI Europe and AfME Solution Delivery Lead.

+ Lead the delivery of in region Business Intelligence solutions projects.

+ Work with the business, BT stakeholders and vendors to capture key requirements, translate them into projects in alignment using approved standards & architecture and seek approval for projects following the standard governance processes. Where appropriate, conduct prototyping sessions.

+ Responsible for the communication of project delivery dates, plans, budgets and priorities to key stakeholders.

+ Where appropriate, engage with StratCO Business Analytics & Commercial Operations, BT and GBI CoE colleagues to deliver effective Business Intelligence solutions.

+ Work collaboratively with the GBI Service Operations, Solution Engineering and other Business Technology teams to deliver viable Business Intelligence technical solutions.

+ Maintain solid customer engagement with key stakeholders, including business, StratCO and BT colleagues.

+ Serves as the first escalation and resolution point for Business Intelligence solutions in region.

+ Some travel may be required


+ Minimum undergraduate degree in either a technical or relevant discipline.

+ Graduate degree in either a management or technical discipline is preferred.

+ Well-rounded business acumen, solid technical skills, with particular strength in Business Intelligence

+ Experience in deploying, designing, and running Business Intelligence solutions in a large organisation.

+ Experience in delivering complex projects or multiple concurrent small projects.

+ Experience in developing and socialising Business Intelligence business cases.

+ Experience in Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing Business Intelligence solutions.

+ Commercial business acumen and experience supporting commercial business operations.

+ Demonstrated experience in successfully leading project teams and growing their capabilities.
