Position Purpose: We are looking for an awesome writer, editor and curator who knows how to use technical platforms to deliver rich, brand building content. This includes defining and implementing a tagging system to correlate and organize content for use and a deep knowledge of SEO best practices, content tagging, archiving and taxonomy best practices. This role is also responsible for producing written work for promotions, page layouts and other creative projects. You will be responsible to ensure branding standards are consistent and maintained across writing assignments. As our writer, you’ll help lead and manage the team that makes Blinds.com an engaging and exciting place to shop! You’ll work cross collaboratively to create an engaging customer shopping experience Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities: 50%-Manage the content for Blinds.com including writing promotional copy, editing, and concept creation. 20%-Create Web content that converts browsers to customers and brand loyalists. 10%-Research content topics by evaluating site metrics, performing competitive analysis, understanding content flow and interviewing subject matter experts within the company. 5%-Maintain, enforce and update Blinds.com Style Guide and Voice & Tone standards 10%- Develop engaging and persuasive copy for traditional marketing channels including radio, television and print-based mediums 5%-Write and edit promotional copy, feature articles, emails and customer service-related copy and other website materials. Nature and Scope: This position reports to Creative Director This position has no Direct Reports Environmental Job Requirements: Environment: 1. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Travel: 1. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Additional Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: •Familiarity with website analytics tools such as Omniture Site Catalyst or Google Analytics • HTML and Photoshop skills Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: •An arsenal of words and phrases written for successful e-commerce campaigns, landing pages and online advertising, preferably for 4 years in a professional setting •2-5 years of content creation experience at a digital-marketing agency or ecommerce enterprise, with a focus on SEO or landing page creation •Proven experience writing online content with current portfolio (web content, blogs, campaigns, social media, video, etc.) •Comfort working in and across numerous platforms on the Web •Work extremely well collaboratively; take constructive criticism •Excellent communications skills Must demonstrate exemplary organizational skills •Ability to carry out tasks independently •Self-starter, highly motivated to succeed under minimal supervision •Very web-savvy and up-to-date with developing tools and methods •Strong self-motivation and multitasking required, while managing writers to meet daily deadlines.
