Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 2 - Multi Service Senior Leader at a premiere Children's Hospital located in Norfolk Virginia. 

 

Successful candidates will have strong business acumen and have experience in leading multiple teams and services to including BOTH Food Operations AND Environmental Services. Candidates will have experience in process improvement, lean methodologies, and a proven track record in delivering to targets and desired outcomes. The Children's Hospital of King's Daughters is experiencing tremendous growth and requires innovation and solutions to elevate the patient and family experience.  

 

CHKD is a 205 bed pediatric facility with two retail venues and retail revenues of 1.6 million dollars, Sodexo Room Service, and a high performing clinical program. 

 

Sodexo is seeking a high performing General Manager 2 - Multi-Service to lead a team of 130 hourly associates and 8 managers in Food and ES at this premiere children's hospital.  Food managed volume of over 4 million and ES managed volume of over 3 million.

 

The successful candidate will be highly organized, have a strong focus on driving associate performance and operational excellence, and understands how to prioritize responsibilities. Candidate must have the capacity to interact with clients, physicians, and  clinical teams to build relationships and foster partnerships.  Proven track record in associate development and engagement will be required.

Position Summary

Functions as the leader for multiple core services, in a single account and/or multiple locations within the same contract.  Single point of contact and/or client liaison in support of business that in total is between $5 and $10 million in managed volume.
Key Duties
- Monitors operations by planned and unplanned visits to each operating account of the system to plan projects, implement new processes, client interactions, and new technology to ensure sufficient resources.

- Develops business plan and budget w/each account GM that supports the System and District goals – Reviews and analyzes financial statements and data and other financial information to ensure attainment of financial goals for both the client and Sodexo.

- Central Point of Contact for Client Liaison promoting a solid business partnership - assists in contract negotiations for the system.

-  Maintains Quality & Company Standards – reviews and maintains reports to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Sodexo / System Client(s) policies and procedures.

- Responsible for system succession planning/employee development/diversity initiatives/training/constructive counseling. Promotes and supports workplace diversity initiatives.

- Provides strategic leadership to the respective units within the system to maintain client satisfaction and retention
 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
