Currently, Sodexo is seeking an experienced General Manager 3 to oversee the Food Services at Eastern Oregon University, a regional public University located in scenic Eastern Oregon.  The General Manager will serve as the leader of Food and Dining Services on Campus.  Operations includes growing residential dining and retail dining programs, catering services and a robust summer conference program.  We are seeking a General Manager to oversee all the Food Services operations on campus, who “gets the basics”, is a strong mentor/leader to his/her staff and work with them to achieve the strong Sodexo standards for our client. The GM will have a high level of client interaction as well as working closely with all department within the university enviroment. Having a solid financial understanding is critical - and be able to align operation to meet financial results.

  

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations;
  • deliver high quality food service;
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • develop strategic plans;
  • create a positive environment; and
  • ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have previous success managing in a Sodexo Resident Dining or Business Dining program - solid foundation on Sodexo systems, a strong focus and passion for food - quality and presentation - and understand high end and high volume Catering, and will need to have good understanding of customer service, retail management.

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.
