Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 3 - Food for Menifee Valley Medical Center in Menifee, CA.


This is an 84 bed hospital that offers high quality healthcare with state-of-the-art technology and boasts an award-winning efficient building design with private rooms, and beautiful views. Sodexo provides best in class services for patient dinning, retail café operations, onsite catering and physicians dinning at this outstanding account. Critical to your success is the ability to integrate fully within our client's organization becoming a trusted advisor and member of the accounts leadership team. Registered Dietitian / CDM background is ideal!


Position reports to the Sr Area General Manager and is responsible for food production and service for; patient meals, retail café operations, onsite catering and physicians dinning. In addition; nutrition services, financial management, creating a positive work environment, motivating employees, managing team training and development, monitors for regulatory compliance using HACCP standards, food safety & sanitation, work place safety, inventory and purchasing, quality standards, and patient, employee, and client satisfaction.


Sodexo will also be opening another unit in spring that this GM will oversee.  It is a 25 bed Medical Detox Unit.  


Ideal Candidate Skills, Certification;

Servsafe Certification

Ability to manage, train & develop 22 union employees

Prior experience working in a Union environment

Experience managing 1.5 million plus in financial volume

Healthcare industry & culinary production experience

Ability to achieve company and client financial targets and goals

Past experience with continuous improvement in patient satisfaction scores

100% compliance; food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards

Ability to meet (or exceed) Sodexo standards of operations.

Ability to manage multiple & competing priorities

Demonstrated professional communication skills

A passion for a high level of customer service

Knowledge of Sodexo Food Mgmt Systems (FMS) & Market Connections (MSC)

Food Service Director / Registered Dietitian background is ideal!


Menifee Valley Medical Center in Sun City, CA

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.
