Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Service General Manager 3 for in Logansport, Indiana (located near Lafayette, Indiana, home of Purdue University).  This account is a 125 bed, community, acute care facility.  In this role you will be responsible for all of the daily patient meal services utilizing "At Your Request”, Sodexo’s room service style meal delivery program along with annual café sales of 450K. The General Manager will provide oversight to 22 FTEs (client-paid, non-union) and will also oversee an upcoming café renovation. 


The ideal candidate: 

  • Is passionate about patients, wellness and nutrition
  • Brings a high level of expertise and leadership ability in a healthcare foodservice environment
  • Has previous experience in managing, training and developing a frontline staff
  • Has stellar client relations skills/abilities 

The Food Service General Manager will report directly to a District Manager and will work a typical Monday through Friday schedule (some flexibility will be needed for occasional special event coverage). 


Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
