Sodexo's School Services Division is seeking an experience, high energy General Manager for a new sale, Mt. Vernon City School District, located in Westchester County, NY.   8,000 student enrollment in an urban school district just outside of Bronx, NY.  The preferred candidate will have 5-10 years of experience as  GM of an NSLP/NSBP program in New York State, CT or NJ.  This position will manage approximately 82 employees across 16 locations.  Some employees are union.

 

Seeking bilingual candidates; the ability to speak Spanish will assist in managing this workforce. 

 

Candidate must be highly organized with exceptional financial management, communication and technical skills and be able to drive customer participation.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate’s degree with academic major in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant school nutrition programs experience
