Unit Description

Sodexo Education - Schools Division is seeking an experienced General Manager 3 for an established account located in New Jersey.   This is a d services position responsible for a multi food contract account comprised of a K-12 Special Services Unit & a Grades 9-12 Vocational School District in Central NJ. The best qualified candidate will have proven success with multi unit management, preferably in a Schools environment.  We are seeking candidates with strong financial acumen and exceptional client relations skills; Union experience is a plus!  You will manage a team of 50 employees, some Union, some Client. This is a full year working position and an asap need!


This position requires a very detailed oriented individual with excellent people skills. Be able to interact with students who work hand in hand in kitchens with Sodexo Staff.  High catering volume.  Meals include special diets for Special Services students.

Ability to handle a high strung vocal client.  Financial details and understanding of Sodexo paperwork preferred.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant experience in school nutrition programs
