    Sodexo, Corporate Services is seeking a General Manager 3 opportunity within Corporate Services in Vega baja, PR. Our client is a progressive pharmaceutical company, and the General Manager will oversee our corporate cafe and catering services at this account. This position will have total financial accountability for this location. Strong financial acumen is required. The General Manager will interact with our customers on a daily basis and will serve as our liaison to the client. Excellent customer service and client relations skills are a must!!! Other responsibities include ordering, managing costs, and ensuring HACCP compliance.


    General Manager for a full service cafe in a corporate building with breakfast, lunch, dinner and catering services, operating 7 days a week, 24 hours with approx. a population of 1100. GM must have Serve Safe certification, physical safety training and skills, financial reporting duties, food safety and production experience, employee and client relations skills, customer service and positive attitude. Ability to promote catering sales and increase the sales through fun events and promotoins in the unit and listening to the customers to develop the business and sales. Cash handling, monitoring of standards of cleanliness and marketing are required.



     The ideal candidate should have:


    • 5-8+ years of exp in a Food Service Management, General Manager or Catering Chef Manager role
    • Strong financial acumen with budget, P&L, food and labor cost
    • Experience managing multiple Executive Catering events from start to finish
    • Experience training and leading catering staff
    • Exceptional communication skills, professional and customer services oriented. This position will work closely with the client and Sodexo District Manager
    • Knowledgeable of MS Office programs/Familiar with Sodexo programs, Core Values and Leadership skills
    • Experience training & developing hourly/management staff, supervising and coaching
    • Experience working with other chef’s to assure food quality, menu, recipe, techniques, menu developing, food & labor cost

    Position Summary

    Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account
    Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 3 years
    Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
