Unit Description

Sodexo is looking for a General Manager 4 for Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY

 

The General Manager has full accountability for the operational and financial performance for the Food & Nutrition Department.    This hospitals focus is driving patient satisfaction and healthy outcomes. This is a 350 bed acute care hospital with a cook chill meal delivery program and up to 45 hourly union employees. 

 

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of taking a department that had low satisfaction scores and moving them beyond the top quartile.  The General Manager must be able to articulate how they were successful in driving satisfaction outcomes.

 

Other essential experience and requirements

  • Experience with a key role as part of a client planning team related to FNS expansion projects for the hospital 
  • Polished presenter with mastery of presentation tools and confidence in relating ideas to C-Suite
  • Position will partner as a leader in the hospital, forging their mission of superior service culture

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree           

Basic Management Experience - 5 years              

Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
