Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Nutritional Services - General Manager 4 at the 110-bed Annie Penn Hospital and the 90-bed Penn Nursing Center in the Cone Health System.  Sodexo provides a number of non-clinical services and supports the Cone Health System in their journey to be a World Class provider of health care to the greater Greensboro, NC area.  This position supports that mission by providing leadership for our team in the delivery of safe, wholesome and innovative food to our Patients, Customers (Retail and Catering) as well as hospital Employees in a variety of settings.

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrated experience in all phases of leading a Food Service team to achieve exceptional outcomes.  Further, a balanced management style is preferred, providing focus on both satisfaction outcomes as well as financial management.  Interested candidates must be outcome focused and be able to implement systems and processes that lead to the desired quality and cost outcomes expected.

 

The successful candidate will have 5 or more years management experience and demonstrated ability to lead a team in the delivery of exceptional services in a high volume setting, a strong working knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines as well as excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills.  Prior culinary and long-term/skilled care experience in health care would be a plus for this role. Candidate must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and be able to work as a team member in the delivery of those services that make a difference in the lives of our patients, employees  and customers.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
