    Sodexo Health Care Services provides essential food and facilities services to hospitals across the country. We are currently seeking at General Manager 4 for Food & Nutrition Services at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin, GA.  This 160-bed hospital serves the residents of Spalding, Pike, Lamar, Butts, Upson and Henry counties, providing comprehensive care and was recognized nationally as a “Top Performer” hospital in 2014. 

     

    Our Food Service General Manager will be responsible implementing Sodexo programs and managing the day to day operations and financials for patient services, retail and catering within 2 locations: 160 bed acute healthcare facility and a 25-bed rehab facility.  

    The ideal candidate will be well versed in food service operations, food and labor cost controls, while also having proven success in driving Patient Satisfaction results.  The ability to articulate ideas, thoughts, opinions, professionally and clearly within all levels of the organization is critical.

     

    We are looking for a candidate who can:

    • Integrate fully within our client's organization becoming a trusted advisor and member of the accounts leadership team
    • Achieve continuous improvement in patient satisfaction scores
    • Meeting (or exceeding) Sodexo standards of operations (Gold Check)
    • have oversight of day-to-day operations;
    • deliver high quality food service;
    • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
    • develop strategic plans;
    • create a positive environment

       

      The ideal candidate:
    • has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
    • has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
    • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
    • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
    • can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

    Position Summary

    Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
    Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree           

    Basic Management Experience - 5 years              

    Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
