Job #67619 - Sodexo is seeking a General Manager (IV) of Dining Services for St. Joseph's John Knox Village in beautiful Tampa, FL. This is a 500 Resident Continuing Care Retirement Community across from the University of South Florida.


In this role, you manage our 5 Star Dining Program with oversight and the implementation of; high quality systems and standards, impeccable food safety and sanitation, the development of client and resident relations, and innovative training programs for 6 managers, 10 supervisors, and 50 hourly employees. You will also interact daily with residents and clients to provide amazing customer service and program enhancements. This senior level director position requires exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop teams that deliver extraordinary dining services that exceed resident & client expectations.


Your Skills Check List for this position;

Certified Dietary Manager or enrolled in a program; completed in 1 yr

Sodexo Contract Management Experience

Culinary background; Food Service Director / Sr General Manager

Financial volume; $3.5 million and P&L reporting

Manage other managers; 6 who oversee 50 hourly employees

Working knowledge of HACCP, Regulatory Compliance

Computer Skills; FMS, UFS and Evision

Fine dining, food retail, and upscale catering experience

Capability to implement customer service enhancements

Ability to worked collaboratively with other department heads

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
