Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for General Manager 4/Senior Event Planner of Conferences.  The General Manager 4/Senior Event Planner of Conferences  manages all Conference, Catering and Meeting management service operations at a single account/unit.


This position will be responsible for the coordinating multiple departments for the successful execution of daily meetings and events in the client facility.


Departments include - Catering and Conferencing


This position requires a candidate that will constantly strive to find new and innovative methods to enhance the client meeting and event experience. 


 Plans, organizes, staffs, and directs multiple services which generally include:

  • Conference services, conference planning, catering, banquets and basic food and beverage
  • Hospitality, front desk, housekeeping
  • Audiovisual technology, accounting and finance, human resources, sales and marketing
  • Development and professional growth of management team
  • Manages the client relationship on a daily basis while ensuring customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Ideal candidate will have experience managing above-mentioned departments.  Knowledge of catering, room and event management systems required.  Experience in large scale, multi-day event production preferred.  Experience managing Audiovisual teams preferred.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree           

Basic Management Experience - 5 years              

Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
