    Sodexo Government has an exciting opportunity for a Food General Manager 4 at The Federal Bureau of investigation (FBI), a prestigious food service account located in Washington DC. The General Manager 4 will be responsible for maintaining an excellent client relationship and ensuring high customer service standards.

     

    The General Manager 4 will be responsible for supervising 35 union employees, an Executive Chef, a Retail manager, and an hourly supervisor. The food service offerings at this location include an eight-concept cafeteria, fully licensed Starbucks, and a Dunkin Donuts. This operation is Monday thru Friday, 52 weeks per year and closed on all weekends and Federal holidays. 

     

    This is an excellent opportunity for a Food General Manager 4 to provide leadership and oversight at this prestigious account.  This is an extremely visible role where the General Manager 4 must be able to provide high-touch, high caliber customer service to a VIP level customer base.  An extremely high level of service standards must be maintained in the areas of customer service, cleanliness, food quality and speed of food service.  Successfully managing the serving of a high volume of customers in short periods of time must be a consistent top priority for this manger.

     

     

    The General Manager 4 will be responsible for daily operations and oversight including responsibilities in:

    • Strong contract management/compliance experience
    • A strong customer focus, exceptional communication and organizational skills, and management experience in a food service environment
    • Delivering high quality food service
    • Achieve company financial targets and goals
    • Developing and maintain client and customer relations
    • Developing strategic plans
    • Creating a positive and enjoyable environment

    The ideal candidate:

    • Has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills
    • Has a strong background in food safety and sanitation compliance
    • Has history and knowledge of working in a Union environment
    • Has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills and has a passion for a high level of customer service
    • Can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed

    Security clearance is required.

    Position Summary

    Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
    Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
