Sodexo is seeking an experienced General Manager for Boston Children’s Hospital, ranked as the #1 Children's Hospital in the nation! This is a high profile, Sodexo Prestige account and a 400 bed teaching facility located in Boston, MA. This pediatric hospital has 400 beds and high volume food court. 

 

As General Manager, you will be tasked with leading, developing, and growing a team of managers and employees.  Responsibilities include on-going training, quality inspections, compliance, safety, and the implementation of Sodexo policies and procedures. 

 

The ideal candidate will have prior management experience in food services department with direct Manager reports and front-line staff from a healthcare/hotels environment. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, technical and Leadership skills are necessary to be successful in this job. JCAHO experience is preferred. Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. Seeking individuals that want to make a difference in food quality, satisfaction, sanitation, employee engagement and training.  Six sigma experience a plus. #LI

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree           

Basic Management Experience - 5 years              

Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
