Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 5 for University of Maryland Regional Capital Health located in Cheverly , MD.  Join Sodexo for a NEW opportunity in a new organization!

 

Join Sodexo and The University of Maryland Health System as a strong operations leader for this multi-site account which includes two acute care hospitals, a health center and a large profit/loss Meals on Wheels Program.  The Meals on Wheels program includes service to a K-12 Behavioral Health School.  The University of Maryland Medical Sytem (UMMS) is a university based healthcare system with more than 150 locations including 11 community hospitals and two specialty hospitals.

 

The General Manager will have proven success in supporting an organization through transformation which includes a new medical facility in 2021.  Additional competencies include: Strong client relation skills, team/staff development skills, employee engagement, financial acumen and prior process improvement experience.  Prefer candidates who have a proven track record in Sodexo systems and solutions that drive the Patient, Staff and Vistor Experience.  Awareness and support of Sodexo's clinical nutrition programs is a plus.

  • can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.
