Sodexo Corporate Services business segment is seeking an experienced General Manager 5 (Food) for a an off-site catering unit at Creative Gourmet located in New York NY!  The GM 5 will oversee a management team and approximately 18+ front line employees that will ensure exceptional services are provided to 24 clients. This role will have full financial responsibility at the account. The GM 5 will build and maintain successful relationships with multiple client partners, requiring this role to attend multiple meetings daily, and be visible and hands-on with all unit operations.


Ideal candidate will have:

  • Familiar with the New York City market;
  • Strong client relations skills;
  • Union experience;
  • Professional presence;
  • The ability to manage through managers and develop diverse and talented teams;
  • Strong financial acumen, P&L & fee, experience writing and managing budgets;
  • High end, high touch point, high volume catering;
  • Innovation and the ability to grow revenue and manage costs;
  • Customer-driven and strong track record in organizational development.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree           

Basic Management Experience - 5 years              

Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
