Sodexo Leisure has an exciting opening for a General Manager of Food Services at the CA Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, CABased in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, it is home to a world-class aquarium, planetarium, and natural history museum - all under one living roof. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to manage multiple retail food oulets and high end, high volume catering operations
  • Direct financial oversight for this prestigious Multi-Million Dollar account
  • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a high pressure environment are key in this role

You have/are:

  • Full financial responsibility for managing the budget, staffing & client relations
  • Managing the culinary operations of full service cafes,  in a venue of at least $8M annual F&B revenues
  • Ability to demonstrate excellence in client and customer relations, team motivation
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to motivate employees to bring their best everyday
  • Embrace a team-based culture that values partnership, collaboration and innovation
  • Prior experience successfully managing a cultural destination with at least $8M+ volume in annual F&B sales

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
