Seeking a dynamic Food General Manager 5 for our long tenured account at Indiana State University located in affordable Central West Indiana, just 45 minutes from Indianapolis, Indiana.  Indiana State is a public university with close to 14,000 students and 4,000 residents.  The campus hosts two resident dining operations and a large retail operation that includes both national and Sodexo brands.  The catering volume on campus is over $1.3m.  The vision for the dining program is to provide creative and innovative operations while maintaining a level of afford-ability for the students.


The General Manager will oversee Resident and Retail FOH operations on campus, reporting directly to the Resident District Manager.  The ideal candidate will have extensive General Manager experience, have **participated in the coordination of or helped to manage a large renovation project**, driven profitable sales growth in retail and resident dining, proven high volume & high end catering experience, multi-location retail operation experience, strong leadership skills and experience with Sodexo systems.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.
