Job Details

**Education & Experience**

+ Graduate degree in Engineering/ Commerce / Science with a Post Graduate Management degree.

+ Knowledge of Regulatory and FDA requirements for EOU, SPZ and SEZ.

+ 12-15 years experience in Managerial capacity preferably in the Pharmaceutical or FMCG industry.

+ Working and delivering in cross functional teams and matrix organizations.

+ Working Knowledge of Direct and Indirect Taxation laws.

+ Financial and commercial acumen.

+ Negotiation Techniques and skills.

+ Knowledge of Basic Chemistry.


+ Lead the strategic sourcing process, including identify needs, conduct pre-project planning, define projects, collect internal and external data, perform strategic analysis and identify opportunities, formulate procurement strategies and develop implementation plans.

+ Lead the strategic sourcing process for key API, RM & KSM's

+ Lead direct negotiations with manufactures and suppliers.

+ Develop appropriate risk management strategies to assure supply of Pfizer's requirements.

+ Effectively utilize Pfizer's eSourcing capabilities in advancing sourcing initiatives.

+ Lead and/or participate on project teams as required or assigned.

+ Coordinates all activities relating to import of Capital Goods thereby supporting plant and/or site activities.

+ Identify suppliers for assigned raw materials, reference check / screen, evaluate quality, price seasonality and propose the action plan with all the deliverables, terms and conditions clearly defined.

+ Establish strong working relationships with key vendors and ensure compliance to Pfizer standards.

+ Ensure complete specification alignment with vendors and all supplies from vendors strictly confirming to agreed specifications.

+ Identify and develop alternate sources towards driving down costs and strengthening the supply chain.

+ Lead, co-ordinate and work with cross functions in resolving issues relating to material quality, compliance, CAPA closure, implementation and facilitating vendor audits.

+ Execute the elements Pfizer's Supplier Management process in accordance with program guidelines.

+ Utilize Continuous Improvement to drive the resolution of issues and improve supplier performance.

+ Work closely with the Quality and EHS teams in enabling audit of supplier sites and coordinate for CAPA closure.

+ Evaluate, design and implement Risk Mitigating strategy for key items for availability and cost benefits.

+ Responsible and accountable for Department's safety performance. Identify, ensure and evaluate Safety training and performance of employees.

+ Review SOPs / Protocols to integrate safety in the operations.

+ Develops budget for the specific sites and is responsible for the Purchase Price Variance targets. Ensures the efficient operation of departmental transactional activity to meet cost, quality and customer expectations.

+ Ensures the efforts for purchasing activity in compliance with all regulatory requirements, cGMP and company policy, procedure and goals including FCPA and SOX (Clause 49 in India)

+ Lead, train and develop people for skill enhancement, providing growth opportunities for career progress.

+ Directs, oversees and participates in the recruitment, selection, promotion and development and performance management of personnel in the team.
