Unit Description

Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for a General Manager/Chef Manager to join our team at our corporate client located in Louisville, KY where Sodexo manages their full service cafe, coffee shop and catering operations with a total MV of $650K. This position is a high functioning role and working in the kitchen on a daily basis is a key expectation for this role.  This operation offers Breakfast, Lunch and Catering for our customers.

 

As the General Manager/Chef Manager you will be the number 1 for location and the Chef.  The General Manager/Chef Manager will have 6 hourly employees. Duties include but not limited to:

  • 60/40 split between GM and Culinary duties
  • Client interaction to include weekly meeting
  • Financials/budgets
  • Menu planning
  • Ordering
  • Inventory
  • Physical safety

Being detailed oriented, well organized and possessing strong planning skills are critical to the success of the position.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree 

Basic Management Experience - 2 years         

Basic Functional Experience  - 2 years
