Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a General Manager/Chef Manager for a large Corporate Services account in Louisville, KY! Sodexo operates three cafes, provides catering services, a Micromarket and Simply to Go within multiple buildings on the corporate campus. 

 

The GM/Chef Manager holds a key expectation for a high functioning role that is focused on daily retail operations and kitchen production in a manufacturing environment.  This position has responsibility that spans 3 small cafes offering Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner service for our customers.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to hold staff accountable related to daily tasks while maintaining a focus on food/physical safety and sanitation.  They will be detailed oriented, well organized, and possess strong planning skills that are critical to the success of the position.  Food production and culinary support will be a daily part of this role.  The GM/Chef Manager supervises a team of approximately 25 employees, which are a unionized workforce. This position requires use of a company vehicle and requires a valid Driver's License.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree 

Basic Management Experience - 2 years         

Basic Functional Experience  - 2 years
