Unit Description

The Sodexo Laundry division is looking to hire a qualified General Manager with a strong management background for the Midwest Laundry in Cincinnati, OH.

Midwest Laundry is a cooperative processing facility owned by local medical centers.  The facility currently processes 14 million pounds of health-care laundry per year. Consists of three Sodexo managers, 2 client managers and 82 front-line client employees.  There will be direct communication with the owner hospitals as well as other satellite facilities.

The preferred candidate will have laundry experience, financial responsible, client relations capabilities, and complete oversight of the entire operation.  This General Manager will oversee the day to day operations and client management to ensure compliance.

 

Previous experience in healthcare and laundry plant management at the General Manager level experience preferred.

7-10 years industry experience in a management capacity

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Position Summary

Directs the daily operations of a large industrial laundry facility in the processing and delivery of linens. Responsible for engineering and maintenance of all equipment. Maintains responsibility over budgeting, financial forecasting, cash control and payroll records. Drives growth and efficiencies. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains client satisfaction and good public relations. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account. May be responsible for multiple clients.
Key Duties
-Directs all contract services in a large laundry plant
-Oversees management/administrative team who are responsible for day-to-day operational and production functions as well as cash control and payroll
-Financial Management – budgeting, forecasting, financial performance
-Customer and client satisfaction
-Drives growth

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
Basic Management Experience – 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
