**POSITION SUMMARY**



Pfizer's Global Financial Solutions (GFS) Shared Services is a well-established operation with beginnings in Memphis, Tenn., in 1997. The organization expanded to Europe in 2003, Asia in 2007, Latin America in 2013, Eastern Europe in 2014 and AfME in 2016. GFS Shared Services has a workforce of more than 1,000 Pfizer colleagues, in addition to a successful partnership with a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner, Genpact, in one location globally.







The GFS San Jose Site Leader will be accountable and responsible for management of the ongoing operations Invoice to Pay, Order to Cash, and Record to Report for all the markets the GFS SSC supports in the Latin America Region as well some activities related to markets in North Americas, Europe and Africa Middle East. The objective of this role is to lead and enable the GFS San Jose team to partner with the Biopharmaceuticals and PGS Finance organizations and their customers in LAR as well as other areas of GFS to ensure that business objectives are sufficiently met.







The role will be a member of the GFS Senior Leadership Team and will have responsibilities in accordance with this.







**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**



Leadership and Management of the LAR GFS SSC function, responsible for operational performance and providing strategic guidance and direction to the function







+ Grow and Lead the GFS San Jose organization and provide strategic guidance and direction to the organization. Play a critical role in developing the vision and strategy of Pfizer's financial shared services (from a systems, process, compliance, policy and procedures perspective).



+ To be effective this position will have to challenge the status quo and champion new ideas.



+ Build and develop GFS global network and partnerships with other enabling functions



+ Provide advice to senior management in recommending ways to streamline and standardize operations.



+ Create an inclusive environment



+ Play a key role in development of global financial processes and enhancing the capacity of the shared service group to provide timely and robust reporting and data analysis to support senior management and the business units.



+ Play a key role interfacing with Pfizer's business units and respond to customer needs and requirements.



+ Understand the functionality, interfaces and interdependencies of Pfizer's financial processes and systems, and ensure the existence of adequate internal controls.



+ Oversee the goal setting, sharing of best practices, workload balancing, teambuilding, professional development, and general operating parameters of GFS-LATAM.



+ Create an inspiring working environment which promotes diversity and inclusion.



+ Support the Internal and External audits and SOX compliance initiatives



+ Strong accounting, interpersonal, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.



+ SAP, JD Edwards & HFM experience an advantage



+ Fluency in English and Spanish Required and Portuguese Desired







Must possess strong leadership skills to lead and motivate teams. Demonstrated project management skills, with experience in reengineering financial processes including implementation of financial systems and building and managing cross-functional teams is required. International experience in emerging markets highly desired.







Demonstrated effective leadership, negotiating, interpersonal and strategic planning skills necessary to interact, influence and facilitate change with senior management, GFS locations, division management and business unit partners.







Must be able to create a highly energized environment of exceptional performance, shared accountability and personnel excellence, with a commitment to coaching and developing others into leadership roles. Must possess excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills. Ability to provide a strategic and business perspective including putting the needs of GFS, Finance and the Business Units in context of the larger Pfizer organization. Excellent business acumen to develop effective strategic business partnership with key stakeholders.







Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills. Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles. Demonstrated success in setting and meeting personal and organizational goals, including motivating organization to obtain goals. Must be able to quickly effect change and improvements across GFS SSC- San Jose, multiple Business Units and sites by visualizing, leading design and execution of business practices and processes to bring standardization and minimize complexities.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**







+ Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA required



+ A minimum of 15 years of financial management experience, with oversight of all financial functions; of which at least 6 years experience managing large teams



+ SAP, JD Edwards & HFM experience an advantage



+ Fluency in English required; Spanish and Portuguese desired



+ Solid financial background with experience in accounting processes



+ Solid experience of leading change and demonstrates change agility



+ Strong knowledge of business processes supported by transaction processing capabilities



+ Must be able to work independently, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously



+ Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills required



+ Demonstrated ability to build, lead and manage an effective team of highly qualified and culturally diverse professionals







**TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**







+ Proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint) required



+ Demonstrated commitment to education and professional development.



+ Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage multiple cross divisional work process and projects.



+ Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management



+ Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty.



+ Willingness to accept occasional travel for meetings and projects



+ SAP, JD Edwards & HFM experience an advantage







**PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS**







+ Standard Finance and Accounting Office work



+ Ability to travel domestically and Internationally for business meetings, workshops and leadership meetings
