What you’ll do:

As the Global Director of Connected Car, you will lead the connected car sales strategy, pipeline management, and sales execution of the Cisco Jasper connected car platform, globally.  You will manage a team of highly skilled connected car sales and pre-sales engineers to execute on our revenue generation across the globe.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team that is focused on very complex sales cycles into the Global OEM market, though our Mobile Network Operator partners.
  • Recruiting and retaining a first class team of sales reps and sales engineers
  • Team will own technical due diligence and removal of technical blockers to drive deals in the global OEM market to closure.
  • Managing the global sales pipeline for connected car, reporting on the pipeline, driving and delivering on a large revenue number
  • Creating new / complex sales development programs into the global OEM base to drive additional revenue streams for Cisco Jasper
  • Interact positively and proactively with other teams to find solutions to complex connected car business and technical issues.
  • Deliver best in class sales presentations


Who you’ll work with:

You’ll work closely with regional sales management, marketing, product management, and the client delivery team within Cisco Jasper to drive revenue.

Who you are:

  • You are an experienced sales leader with a strong background selling into the global OEM car market, managing a team, and delivering results.
  • You have a rolodex of key executive contacts at all of the global OEM car companies.
  • You have solid technical knowledge of how OEM’s connect their vehicles to mobile networks.    
  • You can walk into a meeting with OEM executives and convince them they need to invest in the solution you are providing them.
  • Ability to lead, work well with other functional groups with in the company, and take ownership of all business outcomes in the connected car group

Additional requirements include:

  • Proven success in leading product and technical sales teams selling OSS/BSS and/or other solutions into the connected car market.
  • Very strong ability to manage a sales pipeline, run sales calls, motivate a sales team, report on results
  • First class customer CXO facing communication / presentation skills to build immediate credibility
  • Ability to build and give C-Level presentations on status of the business to Cisco executives
  • Must be able to work independently
  • You must have an extensive rolodex of contacts at US, Germany and Japan and extensive history selling solutions to these companies. 
  • Credible technical skills /experience in most of the following is a plus:
    • OSS / BSS / Transformation / Operations
    • Cellular GSM / GPRS / UMTS / LTE / Call flows
    • IP Routing / NAT / SSL / IPsec
    • APIs - SOAP / REST / XML / JSON
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent in a business or technical field
  • Travel 50% – 75%+
