Job Details

This position is for an Outsourcing and Operations Professional for Global General Toxicology in Drug Safety Research and Development (DSRD) responsible for the smooth running of operational activities that support DSRD's Outsourcing to Contract Research Organizations (CROs).

The successful candidate thrives on delivering efficient and effective operational support by maintaining accurate, up to date and timely documentation of required business accounting and assisting with due diligence processes to maintain corporate compliance. He/she has a keen attention to detail and works collaboratively with stakeholders throughout DSRD.

The candidate must be a self-starter who is able to multitask, operate across global sites and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Skilled interpersonal and communication skills with an attention to detail are a must.

The candidate will also be expected to fully embrace the culture within Global General Toxicology and contribute to creating an exciting, productive working environment.


+ Generation and tracking of Drug Safety Research and Development (DSRD) purchase orders in Ariba

+ DSRD vendor invoice approval/tracking

+ Scheduling and awarding work at Contract Research Organizations (CROs)

+ Management of project payments in Portfolio Information System ( PIMS) and ensure compliance related to study budget management and providing high quality financial data to our Finance partners for monthly AP accruals and WRD reporting

+ Generation of study agreements/work orders for all of DSRD outsourced work

+ Submitting and tracking external environment charitable donations (FRF projects, FCPA procedures)

+ Creating due diligence screens for DSRD consultants in the Engage system

+ Accountable for DSRD expertise in preferred purchasing systems & process (Per CP-102)

+ Provides and/or enables analyses, metrics, and reports to understand outsourcing work forecasts and budget forecasts.


+ Bachelors (BS/BA) degree or equivalent in Business experience..

+ 3-5 years experience in a pharma and/or academic business environment including 2+ years leading partnering support activities (eg relationship management, budget management, analytics, compliance reporting etc.)

+ Strong understanding of both pharma industry and scientific academic research environments

+ Outstanding organizational skills, with high levels of energy and ability to multi-task and problem-solve

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Confident in ability to interact with professionalism with management

+ Ability to influence without direct authority

+ Experience using analytical and visualization tools, excellent computer literacy

+ Ability to proactively identify opportunities for process improvement

+ Familiarity with Pfizer organization and processes, including an in depth understanding of Pfizer's processes and practices and business and reporting systems, (including, but not limited to SAP, Ariba, Business Objects etc.)

+ Self-motivated and able to work independently
