Description:

Manager, Global Procurement, NA Sweeteners is part of Sweetener COE (Center of Excellence) and is responsible for managing sugar sourcing.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering advantaged economics, measurable cost efficiencies, supply assurance and quality in the procurement of North American sugar needs.
  • Understanding the upstream inputs for sweeteners, supply and demand aspects, regulation and trade of global sweetener industry
  • Deep understanding of food and beverage industry, constant scanning horizon for new/changing technologies, supplier and competition strategies, new products and consumer trends


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience; direct experience in sugar markets and/or sugar trading is preferred
  • Direct management and deep expertise in major agricultural commodity markets (traded and non-traded) e.g. oils, grains, coffee
  • Undergraduate degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Food Science, Finance and/or Business required
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishment in managing complex contracts, commodity price cover tools and strategies, supply management
  • Ability to analyze complex business scenarios, develop and evaluate actionable solutions and push through to completion and implementation
  • Strong analytical skills and expertise in financial business case analysis and cost modeling
  • Thorough knowledge of tactical project management concepts, methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures
  • Proven decision-making, problem solving skills, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
