The Global Procurement Manager is responsible for working with the team in developing and executing sourcing strategies for the Beverage Paperboard category including managing the day to day folding carton supply across multiple divisions of PepsiCo including PBC, IBs, and PCNA co-packers (total annual spend of about $160MM). These brands include Pepsi, Aquafina, Mt. Dew, Bubly, Lipton, IZZE, and many Allied branded beverages. Management scope includes 3 folding carton suppliers who produce 1000+ SKUs for multiple different customers at 100 production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Flawless day to day supply management of paperboard/folding carton
- Leading and engaging suppliers on quality initiatives and confirming compliance, and supporting economic analysis for PepsiCo brand/SKU innovation
- Developing and executing the NA strategic agenda
- This role will require established and advanced skills in the following areas: Analytics, Financials, Forecasting, Communication (influencing), Negotiation, Supply and Project Management.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Engineering, Business Management, or similar field. MBA a preferred.
- Related experience in finance, packaging, supply planning, and/or bottler operations.
- Advanced communication skills - able to lead communications at all levels with internal & external stakeholders (i.e. VP, Director, etc.), enabling influence and efficiencies across functions, divisions, customers and suppliers.
- Ability to manage programs and successfully function in an ambiguous environment
- Strong collaboration, and leaderships skills needed to work with key internal & external stakeholders:
- Weekly interaction with PBC Supply Chain required to support business change/SKU innovation, supply, forecasts, etc.
- Ongoing interaction with Sr. Manager of GP Quality needed to resolve supplier quality metrics
- Daily to weekly interaction with Bottler Operations (all levels) to ensure that plants receive material as well as place orders when necessary
- Daily to weekly interaction with National Sales Manager, Technical Directors and Quality Managers at Suppliers to ensure that suppliers are providing our plants with high quality folding cartons on a timely basis
