The Sales Business Development Manager (SBDM) is a quota carrying business leader who is chartered with accelerating the adoption of Cisco’s next generation Enterprise network offers through our Strategic Service Providers.  Next generation Managed and Cloud Services are massive opportunities and Cisco is seeking best in industry sales professionals to help Cisco, our partners, and customers take advantage of this exciting and continuously changing landscape.

Cisco’s Cloud and Business Services organization is accelerating the next generation way in which leading edge organizations consume Cisco’s winning Cloud and Managed Services.  This market inflection point represents a tremendous growth opportunity for Cisco and our partners and opens a brand new world to end customers who are looking to accelerate solution adoption and the benefits associated with those solutions.  

Who You Are

Specific Responsibilities for this role include:

- Identify, prioritize, and document issues impacting our (Cisco) ability to grow faster than the industry in prioritized solution area (Enterprise Networks).  Factors could include competitors, industry changes, internal challenges, or other;

- In partnership with Cisco account teams, directly engage with Product, Marketing, and Sales leadership from Top 20 Service Providers globally.  Drive Cisco’s key Enterprise network priorities resulting in SP’s prioritizing investment to build and launch Cisco based Enterprise network solutions to their customers.  Continually seek and elevate input from them on ways Cisco can increase revenue and share.

- Subject Matter Expert in Solution area (Enterprise Networks).  Collaborate with BU/BE, Region teams, SP teams, SP’s, and other critical stakeholders to define agreed upon prioritized growth initiatives and action plans;

      -SME Example: Lead multiple EBC discussions quarterly

- Drive best in industry Interlock with BU/BE on short, mid, and long term initiatives to drive growth faster than the market which could include Product, Pricing, Positioning, Crediting, Go to market or other;  

- Create and maintain Dashboard for Top 3-7 new Solution areas or incentives showing Service Insertion, Pipeline, and Bookings status for top 20 Global SP’s.  Update and communicate quarterly or more frequently;

- Drive Executive alignment and committed investment across BE/BU, Global and Regional SP, Partner organization, and Architectural teams on Prioritized Solutions and Initiatives;

- Example: Trusted advisor relationship with BU Execs (VP and above) w/ multiple meetings quarterly.

Skills & Experience Required:

- Experience: Minimum ten years professional Enterprise network sales or solution development;

- Passion: Personal belief level that enables others to evolve their point of view or current priorities;

- Tenacity: Ability to push past setbacks, objections, and roadblocks to achieve desired investments and outcomes;

- Collaboration and Coalition: The ability to truly listen to diverse perspectives, gain alignment, and build a mutually agreed upon successful go forward plan that others will believe and invest in;

- Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills: Best in Industry ability to succinctly and professionally articulate challenges, opportunities, and convincing go forward strategies in written and oral format;  

- Business Case: The ability to detail business impact in relevant numerical terms that drives stakeholders to invest appropriate resources in the prioritized initiatives (over other priorities);

- Extensive knowledge of Service Provider service prioritization, service build, service launch, and lifecycle process;

- Extensive knowledge of Cisco Sales, Partner, and BE/BU processes and priorities
