Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Medical Education, this individual coordinates the daily operations of the Internal Medicine Program by ensuring that accreditation standards are met, educational activities which support the curriculum are established, departmental policies are created and enforced and recruitment strategies are implemented so that a highly successful Residency program is maintained.  Other duties include project coordinator, House Staff orientation and graduation the residency recruitment process and additional clerical functions of the department of Medical Education.  Responsible for the overall direction, successful guidance and compliance of the MMH residency program according to ACGME.  Assures that residents are hired, processed, and trained in accordance with all requirements.  Assures that the quality of the education being provided meet the intent of the requirements.   Assure that the hours assigned to the Residents are in compliance.   Responsible for timely feedback and updates to Administration.    Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum of High school graduate. Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Detailed oriented individual and good organizational skills.  Ability to work independently under limited supervision.  Professional physician interface preferred.

Five years clerical/administrative experience in the healthcare industry with 2 years previous administrative experience in a teaching hospital. Previous medical education experience preferred.  Type 60 WPM; must be computer literate.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
