Job Description

Join Fairfax Behavioral Health today and provide help, hope, and healing. We currently have an available opportunity for a Group Coordinator/Therapist in our Kirkland, Washington hospital.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Group Therapist is accountable for delivery of psycho-educational and process oriented groups used for development of coping skills and patient awareness and understanding of mental health issues.  Inpatient populations served include adult and adolescent patients with diagnoses including major mental illness, mood disorders, substance use disorders, trauma, etc..  This Group Therapist will also carry the skills necessary for continued collaboration in program development as well as group program maintenance, communication and referral services. Knowledge of cognitive-behavioral approaches preferred.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Minimum of a master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Five (5) years experience in psychiatric/mental health field preferred.  Two (2) years experience in program/curriculum development preferred.

Additional Requirements: Current Washington PhD, PsyD, LICSW or LMHC preferred.  (Will consider candidates with an Associates Degree)  .  Must obtain CPR, CPI and First Aid certification.
