Description AT&T supports IBM’s OneNet, It is a World Wide Service offering connecting External IBM customers to Lower cost resource Countries or Customers who do not have the ability to provide their own support to support specialist. OneNet provides the network accessibility from the Country doing the support to the IBM Customer premise. We have an IP based network also using BGP, VPN, SSL and Internet access to the customer. We are looking for a CCNA certified individual who will be able to hit the road running. We offer the opportunity to grow your networking knowledge and advance in areas that are cutting edge.

OneNet SE’s are expected to Board new customers and infrastructure all over the World which requires a flexible time schedule as some projects will require participation at night or on Weekends. You will configure the switches and routers with the necessary protocol and routes. You will be required to address security risk and minimize the effects by upgrading Code levels on Firewalls and switches (Currently CISCO devices). You will also be required to configure Packet shapers with approved Bandwidth for each customer (BlueCoat Packet Shapers). You will be required to update all documentation for the customers. You will also be required to do problem determination when it is required and the SA team requests your help.

**Roles and Responsibilities:**

-Performing network support. Operating, and maintaining network components in a complex multi-vendor environment.

- Analyzing network problems, performing configuration changes on network devices and network applications.

-Test and implement corrective actions (including emergency changes) to network faults.

-Test and apply firmware/OS patches. Backout changes and participate in change reviews as needed.

-Assess, evaluate and document bandwidth requirements, performance implications and risks. Design network analysis and reporting package. Execute performance analysis to gauge the health of the network and to identify appropriate actions.

Network specialists are expected to support customers in different time zones, which include migrations and changes in the evenings and at weekends.

**Key Competencies and Skills:**

- Fluent in English, both written and verbal

- Additional foreign language is advantage

- Minimum CCNA certification or knowledge on appropriate level

- Enhanced knowledge IP-services (DNS, DHCP)

- Knowledge of Switch and Router Configuration

- Knowledge in Nortel and 3COM network devices and management tools is advantage

- Knowledge or problem and change management process is advantage

- Customer and service orientation, Ability to operate well in an international environment, multicultural environment

- Reliability, responsiveness and flexibility, Communication Skills, High motivation, Teamwork skills

**Education and Qualifications:**

Cisco CCNA or equivalent experience
