Cedar Creek Hospital is an acute care psychiatric treatment facility located in St. John's Michigan just 30 minutes north of Lansing.  This new facility is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2017 and will serve both adults and adolescent populations in both inpatient and partial hospitalization settings. 


Cedar Creek Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Health Information Manager  to join our team of dedicated professionals.  Under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, provides supervision of medical records staff; prepares and maintains reports regarding incomplete medical records; assigns appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnostic and procedural codes; reviews medical records against pre-established criteria; abstracts data from coding and medical record reviews into appropriate databases.

Job Requirements
  1. Associate Degree in Health Information Technology, required;

  2. Active registration as a Health Information Technician or Health Information Administrator, required;

  3. Must possess good knowledge of psychiatric and medical terminology;

  4. Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills, required;

  5. Ability to maintain cordial and respectful relationships with physicians and hospital staff;

  6. Initiative to follow policies and procedures with minimum direct supervision;

  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;

  8. Basic typing skills, required;

  9. Basic computer skills using software with proficiency and spreadsheet software, required.
