United Healthcare Community & State is looking to hire a Healthcare Economics Consultant. In this role, you will be part of a strong Business Intelligence team and blaze innovative new trails. The successful candidate will need to have the ability to visually represent concepts, but also have a breadth of other skills to support end-to-end solutions. You will interpret and analyze data from various sources, joining it with our existing databases.. Data visualization is important as is someone who can speak Health Care and recommend a best approach. You will also work with business users on transforming business requirements into opportunities. This role is in a group positioned for growth within the company and the work is at the forefront of the healthcare industry.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for design, development and deployment of self-service reporting solutions, scorecards and dashboards on healthcare data using analytical and visualization tools
  • Lead projects to completion by contributing to database creation, statistical modeling and visual representation
  • Analyze results to investigate sources of trends and variations
  • Produce and review reports
  • Develop and improve quantitative data analytics and set performance targets
  • Create and update automated processes
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of data analysis work experience
  • 2 years of reports, scorecard, dashboards development experience data visualization software such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, Wave Analytics or similar
  • 2+ years of experience working in a Data Warehouse environment, including experience in acquiring and merging data sets from multiple sources as necessary for building analytics prototypes
  • 2+ years of SQL experience
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, CIS or related field
  • Architect / Project Designing experience
  • Data Modeling experience
  • Excellent Data Visualization (Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI, etc.) skills
  • End User Training experience for reporting platforms
  • Healthcare experience
