Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations to ensure timely and accurate exchange of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions

  • Establish and manage priorities for EDI staff to ensure task completion

  • Provide analytical support for the implementation and maintenance of EDI transactions

  • Anticipate and proactively identify solutions to operational issues

  • Ensure complete documentation of EDI maps and business edits

  • Manage the execution of user acceptance testing for Healthcare EDI Transactions (ANSI X12N 835, 837, 997/999, 270/271, 276/277, and 278)

  • Lead and develop staff to ensure EDI core competencies are met

  • Conduct management activities including performance review and career development

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Carries out assignments with thoroughness, accuracy and attention to detail

  • Respond in a timely manner to customer requests and concerns

  • Makes logical fact-based decisions

  • Applies knowledge / expertise to complex problems

  • Delegates work and allocates resources to maximize productivity

  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks to satisfy assigned deliverables

  • Challenges the status quo, and encourages others to do so

  • Convey written information clearly and effectively in both formal / informal documents

  • Ability to identify and safeguard confidential data (HIPAA)

  • An understanding of legal implications as related to health care issues

  • Proactively works to develop new knowledge and skills

  • Identify employee development needs and provide opportunities for development
