Humedica is the foremost clinical intelligence company, providing private cloud-based business solutions to the health care industry. The environment is aggressive, fast paced and innovative. We are looking for smart, innovative individuals who will take ownership of their responsibilities, work collaboratively and always look for ways to add to the personal and professional growth of the company. Humedica offers the opportunity for rapid advancement in responsibilities.

As a Healthcare Implementation Business Analyst, you will possess strong deductive reasoning and analytic skills, as well as experience working with data, to manage client implementations.  The Humedica data management team doesn’t build software, we build data that is used by software, so the BA we’re looking for is not your typical Systems Business Analyst.  The role involves some project management, some requirements gathering, and a whole lot of data analysis. This is an ideal role for an analyst with experience working with clinical data from a variety of different sources.

In this role, you will work with customers, developers, clinical informatics specialists and DBAs to build databases from a number of different source systems.  You will have the chance to grow your career quickly and will gain invaluable experience in the rapidly growing healthcare analytics field.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with all constituents throughout the implementation process from initial engagement to delivery of application solutions
  • Communicate with clients and developers to define and validate data extraction specifications
  • Define cross-walks to integrate data from different types including clinical, registration and billing.  As well as different sources including EMR’s, HL7’s, 837’s, and Practice Management Systems
  • Assist with the extraction, transformation and load specifications and business logic into application database
  • Communicate with clinical informatics specialists, product managers and developers to ensure translation of requirements to IT solutions
  • Load data extracted from client source systems into an Oracle staging environment using SQL loader
  • Detect load errors using reports and scripted QA checks, as well as resolve load issues
  • Conduct analysis to ensure quality of data at various stages of its evolution.
  • Work with all constituents in the day-to-day operational process of on-going data processing
