What You'll Do

The Global Benefits team is recruiting an experienced Benefits Manager who will be responsible for developing, leading, and managing global, differentiated solutions across our benefits portfolio, with a particular emphasis on Cisco’s world-class LifeConnections onsite health care and family care services, including employee assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand Cisco’s business strategy, talent strategy and employees needs across their life stages.
  • Analyze current and future workforce trends in order to develop differentiated and relevant solutions that align with employee needs and powers Cisco’s People Deal, a reflection of our culture.
  • Comprehend Cisco’s LifeConnections value proposition, ROI and how it aligns to Total Rewards and Cisco’s business strategy.  
  • Develop differentiated services and programs for Cisco’s LifeConnections that,
    • Optimize our onsite San Jose health center services, including medical, pharmacy, vision, and dental
    • Optimize our onsite child care centers to build enrollment to capacity.
  • Develop and implement employee digital health solutions that leverage Cisco’s technology, in partnership with Cisco’s sales and engineering teams and onsite partners. Resulting solutions will be used to enhance the experience for Cisco employees, showcase Cisco solutions, and potentially drive revenue for Cisco.
  • Lead the analysis of our health data and financial metrics from our data warehouse and make recommendations on key considerations, in partnership with our database supplier.
  • Oversee the performance of onsite San Jose health center, family services and behavioral health partners to ensure optimal delivery of services.
  • Manage the custom LifeConnections Medical Plan, a closed ACO network, to ensure that our partners meet or exceed operational, clinical, and financial goals.  
  • Be a thought leader – outline what’s being solved for, draw conclusions from the data and employee experience, connect the dots, and make recommendations for enhancements and improvements.
  • Tell and sell the story through a concise presentation that ties together the talent strategy, data, financial impact, and value proposition to the People Deal.
  • Proactively partner with cross-functional stakeholders while leading projects end-to-end (design, implementation, execution, measurement).
  • Build strong relationships with internal Cisco partners and stakeholders (Workplace Resources, Environmental Health and Safety, Risk Management, Employee Relations, Safety and Security) to ensure appropriate support of onsite child and health requirements

Who You'll Work With

  • Work collaboratively with Cisco’s LifeConnections team (health, fitness, childcare) to integrate health and wellness services.
  • Support LifeConnections employee communications in partnership with the LifeConnections leader and benefits communications specialist to increase awareness and drive engagement.

Who You Are

Education and Experience:

  • Requires BS/BA degree or equivalent, preferably in health care or public health administration
  • 10+ years of Corporate Health or other Benefit related experience
  • Understanding of Onsite Benefit Programs preferred
  • Passion in health and wellness desired 

Skills Required: 

  • Employee and family-facing experience (managing health care and/or child care facilities desired)
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand the impact of business decisions on the motivation, morale and retention of employees
  • Strong executive influence and negotiation skills with the ability to quickly bring to closure decisions with multiple stakeholders
  • Superior planning, organizational, communication, and cultural awareness skills, including financial and global business acumen
  • Experience leveraging technology and other corporate tools to increase program effectiveness
  • Demonstrated ability to function independently and as part of a team while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving and multi-tasking
  • Team player that can help drive change through process analysis and improvement
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Strong facilitation skills to lead team and client meetings effectively
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
  • Capable of managing people and leading cross-functional, diverse teams
