Job Description

Role: HR Consultant
Salary: c. 38,000 - 42,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Reading

We are looking for an HR Advisor to plays an integral role in helping to shape and deliver our People Agenda for two key corporate functions; Finance and IT. The role will own certain elements of the agenda as well as providing wider general HR support to the HR Managers for each function.

We are also looking for an experienced professional to provide HR Support to our UK Field Sales team.

Some specific activities incorporated into this role are as follows:

  • Work with the HR Manager to partner with the functional leadership teams to design and deliver the annual People agenda
  • Build strong working relationships with people managers and provide support/coaching on any organisational change, employee relations and HR related issues within their teams. Engage the HR Co-ordinator in cases for both support and their own development and share lessons learned with the HR Manager and, if relevant, wider HR community
  • Support the HR Manager with all Core HR people planning processes for the client groups, e.g. Performance Management, Annual Business Planning
  • Assist in the delivery of the action planning process for PepsiCos Organisational Health Survey to drive improvements across the teams
  • Work with the HR Managers to manage the Talent Review process, ensuring that ACE conversations are happening at all levels and coaching managers where necessary
  • Facilitate the calibration process
  • Give constructive, actionable feedback to help managers and employees to improve their performance, and flag any areas of concern to the HR Manager for follow up
  • Support the HR Manager with plans to build line manager capability in essential skills
  • Support the HR Manager with change project implementation and associated line manager coaching and analysis e.g. re-organisations and small scale redundancy programmes
  • Supporting line managers with Job Descriptions queries & evaluation tweaks (e.g. where we only have small changes)
  • Lead graduate recruitment and graduate talent management process, including onboarding and ensure we retain the best talent

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Graduate calibre and CIPD qualified
  • HR generalist experience with specific skills in positively managing challenging disciplinary, grievance, and absence cases
  • Experience of partnering with head office functions
  • Experience of managing organisational change, e.g. restructure, org design
  • Evidence of a collaborate, coaching style
  • Proven organisation skills and an ability to juggle priorities within a busy and varied role
  • Tenacious, patient, trustworthy in keeping matters confidential with high integrity in dealing with colleagues at all levels.
