Millwood Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Human Resources HR ASSISTANT . The Human Resources Assstant is responsible for providing general support to the Director of Human Resources.  Responsibilities include: conducting New Hire Orientation sessions, preparing new hire/general employee training packets and maintaining them in good supply, maintaining all personnel records and files, processing all changes in Lawson, assisting in organizing all employee activities and in-services, and other duties as assigned or directed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in providing Human Resources support to the facility by managing all personnel issues within corporate policies and procedures and all federal and state guidelines.
  • Assists in preparing personnel-related documents for Joint Commission and other regulatory agency surveys.
  • Assembles, maintains and organizes all personnel files, including contracted providers, in accordance to facility and corporate personnel policies and guidelines. 
  • Conducts criminal and background checks and pre-employment drug tests for all new hires
  • Assists new employees with completion of their orientation packets to include completion of all mandatory tests.
  • Audits personnel files, ensuring all information is current and accurate as needed or directed by the Director of Human Resources.
  • Coordinates with the Human Resources Director and prepares requested reports for the Human Resources Director as requested.
  • Verifies all licensure-required position licenses through primary source verification process for all new personnel upon hire and as needed for renewals.
  • Inputs data for all personnel information for new hires, and all PAFs for status changes for current employees, into the HR Information Management System.
  • Responds to all personnel requests in a timely and professional manner; including requests for letters of employment, policy questions and other related issues.
  • Adheres to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures.
  • Attends all mandatory facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled.
  • Adheres to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality.
  • Supports facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives.
  • Maintains confidentiality of facility employee and patient information.
  • Responsible for quarterly consolidation and reporting to Corporate of metrics (BH START)
  • Provides administrative support for employee injury reporting, including inputting all data for injuries into Worker’s Comp website, and coordinating document collection.
  • Responsible for compliance with company and personal Service Excellence Standards.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned by the Human Resources Director.
  • Completes other assignments and projects as directed by the Human Resources Director.

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements

::

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred; HRCI Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional certification (SHRM-CP) preferred.

Minimum of two years’ experience in Human Resources, preferably in a health care setting, is required.

Additional Requirements:  Proficiency in computer software programs such as Word, Excel; ability to work flexible schedule as determined by the HR Director and ability to maintain confidentiality of all personnel matters.
