Job Description

We are looking for a HR Senior Representative to join our West Europe HR Solution Delivery Team. This role will be based in one of our Benelux offices which are located in Brussels (Belgium) and Netherlands (Maarssen) and may involve up to 20% European travel.

As a HR Senior Representative for Learning, Culture & Engagement you are responsible for understanding the organizational journey of the Benelux BU and its related cultural and capability needs. Based on these insights the role will develop and implement relevant and targeted interventions in the areas of culture, engagement, capability, and learning.

Youll work closely with our BU HR Business partners, supporting them to deliver against their Culture and Engagement & Learning business strategies. Youll be responsible for diagnosing the needs across Benelux and leveraging the European and Global CoE resources where possible to support local needs.

The role reports into our HR Senior Manager - Learning & Development, West Europe, who is based in the UK, with a dotted line into the HR Senior Manager Culture & Engagement, WE

In more detail you will:

  • Consult with appropriate stakeholders to understand the organizational and cultural journey in Benelux BU. Understand and identify the organizational, cultural, and capability needs the organization has in order to meet the current & future business strategy
  • Develop and drive specific action plans/roadmaps for the above mentioned areas to address the identified needs, leveraging European C&E/Learning expertise and resource, as well as local HR
  • Create and deliver a broad portfolio of cultural, engagement, and learning interventions based on business strategy/needs analysis by managing and/or facilitating leadership & team development interventions as well as existing core professional skills trainings and C&E initiatives
  • Customize learning solutions to meet local business needs
  • Support the planning phase of SWP related to the areas of capability building
  • Identify D&I opportunities of the local organization and develop/support an action plan, leveraging corporate tools and resources in that area in line with the identified mission and vision of Benelux BU
  • Support OHS Action Planning Facilitation to ensure that line managers develop plans that are consistent with the diagnosis effectively track OHS planning to ensure completion of activities
  • Support the promotion of online and mobile learning strategies in Benelux developed by our Centre of Excellence team
  • Collaborate with other facilitators to leverage existing programs, tools and create best practices
  • Participate in train the trainer sessions for newly developed learning initiatives targeting the professional population and implement these across the Benelux BU
  • Measure the success of learning interventions/programs, focusing on quality, effectiveness, ROI and timeliness
  • Identify consistent themes across functions/BUs to opportunities to leverage CoE developed material or to feed into contracting discussions with CoE


Desired skills and experience:

  • Prior experience of delivering learning interventions, ideally using a blended approach & virtual technology which increase job readiness and promote career development, productivity and individual/team performance
  • Strong facilitation and training skills
  • Excellent consultancy skills
  • Ability to diagnose the root cause of problems and identify ways of finding solutions to needs without always resorting to a training solution
  • Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels in a matrix driven organisation, applying an inclusive and consultative approach
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to balance numerous tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Sensitivity and awareness of cross-cultural differences in a business context
  • Ability to succeed in virtual communities
  • Ability to travel outside Benelux (approx. 20%)
  • Additional West European language an advantage
